The short version: we don't sell your info, we just want to tell you when the balls ship.
This Privacy Policy explains how Still Away Golf Co LLC ("Still Away Golf Co," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit stillawaygolfco.com (which also includes getstillaway.com, which redirects to it) and sign up for our email and/or text updates. Still Away Golf Co is currently in pre-launch: this site collects waitlist sign-ups only, and does not yet process orders or payments. We'll expand this policy when the storefront goes live.
Information we collect
- Contact information you provide: your email address, and - only if you choose to give it - your mobile phone number.
- Consent records: if you opt in to text messages, we record that consent (and the date/time and page where it was given).
- Basic technical data: standard information your browser sends (such as IP address and device/browser type) used to operate and secure the site.
How we use your information
- To send you launch news, product updates, and promotional offers by email (if you signed up for email).
- To send you recurring marketing text messages (if you provided your number and checked the SMS consent box).
- To operate, secure, and improve our website.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising partners for targeted advertising. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate this waitlist: our email provider (Kit), our text-messaging provider (Quo/OpenPhone), and our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) - and only as needed to provide these services, or where required by law. We don't currently use an analytics provider or any advertising/retargeting pixels. As noted above, SMS consent data is never shared for third-party marketing.
Cookies
We use one cookie on this site: __cf_bm, set by our security provider Cloudflare for bot management and to help protect the site against automated abuse. This cookie is set automatically as part of keeping the site secure and reliable - it is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or to build a profile of you, and it expires after about 30 minutes. We don't use analytics cookies, advertising or retargeting cookies, or any other tracking technology on this site.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know or access, delete, or correct the personal information we've collected about you, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise a right, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request." We'll verify your identity before fulfilling access, deletion, or correction requests, and respond within the time required by applicable law.
Your choices
- Email: unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.
- Access or deletion: email us to request access to, or deletion of, your information.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as needed to run the waitlist and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children's privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
International visitors
Our site is directed to visitors in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, including as we build out the full storefront. We'll post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice as required by law.
